Why I Started a Slow Mail Club in a Fast World
Share
I've been daydreaming of slowing down — doing less, taking my time to enjoy the little things, and being more intentional with how I spend my hours.
If you're like me, you probably spend a lot of time staring at a screen. Between work, Instagram, emails, Netflix, the news, texting, podcasts playing in the background while we clean — it’s like… non-stop. I’ve been craving more analogue. More paper. More pause.
Lately I’ve been finding comfort in the old rituals:
Journaling with real ink.
Holding a book with actual pages.
Lighting a candle while I write a card to someone I miss.
There’s just something about real, tangible things — the kind you can hold in your hand, tuck into a pocket, or pin on a bulletin board — that slows me down in the best way.
So… I started a print club.
A little slow mail experiment.
A soft corner of the internet that shows up in your actual mailbox.
It’s called The Wild Petals Postal Service.
Each month, I’ll send you one of my hand-painted postcards — usually nature-y or quote-based, with something gentle on the back — along with a tiny sticker or surprise.
It’s simple. It’s soft. It’s $5/month.
(That’s like... the price of one fancy coffee, or a bag of pistachios that lasts 10 minutes.)
For the very first round of mail, I’m including two postcards instead of one, just to make it feel extra special.
If you’ve been wanting a reason to slow down, journal more, collect small art, or surprise a friend with a card you actually mail (with a real stamp and everything), this might be for you.
I wanted to create something that feels like a deep breath when it arrives.
Something small, kind, and consistent.
Because good things don’t have to be big.
They just have to feel like care.
If you want in, you can join the Wild Petals Postal Service here:
